Are you already registered with a club? Do you play matches every week? During this camp, you will have the opportunity of perfecting your technique and physique and above all, improving the skills you have to help your team win matches.

Level of play

Two groups are formed in line with the level of play.

All participants share daily activities and additional events; only handball programmes are adapted to each of the groups.
- Beginner’s/intermediate level: for youngsters who have not been playing for a long time and have played few official matches.
- Competition level: for youngsters who have been playing in a club for several years and who follow intensive club training sessions.

            

Objectives

Allow youngsters between 9 and 12 years old or 13 to 15 years old to learn about playing handball in an official venue and on the beach (individual and team work).

Make the most of an exceptional setting on the Atlantic coastline and participate in extra activities (windsurfing, body boarding, etc.)

Resources used

Through individual and team exercises, learning about the basics, before putting these into practice in matches which take on various formats, 5-a-side, 8-a-side, or 11-a-side.

Different sized courts are used.

Learning content

- Improving one’s skills within a group through playing handball, a team sport open to one and all.
- Developing physical skills.
- Individually and collectively improving in the game
-Varying handball practice to improve technical skills: passing, shooting, running, etc.
Sandball allows for similar progress to be made both technically and physically.

Special activities

- Beach
- Wind Surfing (one session per week)
- Body Boarding by the St Gilles Surfing School. 
25 m swimming certificate required

Many events take place during the camp:
• Matches and sports events
• Outdoor matches
• Disco evening
• Spectator events

 

 

 

Typical daily routine

Morning: breakfast
11:30am: sports events
Midday: relaxing lunch
Afternoon: tennis session, shower and treatment
Evening: dinner, sporting events and other non-sports related events
