A SPORTS CAMP FOR EVERYONE
Our project is adapted to meet individual motivations. Organisation of camps by age and level allows us to make up small groups. Tennis, football, basketball or multi-sport camps are all available for you to choose…
HIGH-QUALITY CENTRES IN A PLEASANT SETTING
Centres are selected on the basis of the quality of their sports and events facilities as well as for their pleasant setting. Whether in the mountains or the country, they are often to be found in remarkable locations.
ACCOMPANIED TRIPS LEAVING FROM PARIS
The team of monitors is on hand to welcome and accompany children and teenagers in the various centres. The majority of trips are made by high-speed TGV train and then coach. We are able to organise early departures upon request.

Permanent office staff at the ACTJ are experienced professionals all having worked as monitors in ACTJ camps, and who are particularly well acquainted with the holiday camp centres and sports activities. Jean-Paul Pestre, general manager, Christian Vettier, administrative and financial manager, Yann Damoulakis, commercial manager, Guillaume Routier, logistics and programme manager, Khady Diamé, customer relations manager and Arnaud Congar, educational director.
1. Safety
Ensuring the safety of children is priority in all of our camps, and this is undertaken through premises which are in full compliance with legislation and also by guaranteeing competent and selective supervision staff. The educational project of the ACTJ grants absolute priority to respecting children in their physical and moral integrity. The ACTJ hereby undertakes that its teams, partners and service providers respect all legislation in force, whether general legislation (smoking, highway code, etc.) or specific legislation for holiday camps (safety of premises, staffing quotas, qualifications).
2. Contact with your children.
Ensuring you can stay in contact with your children will ensure that everything is running smoothly: telephone calls from the children, viewing messages and photos online, calling the centre director in case of an emergency. Please refer to the section entitled Communicating with parents under the chapter “Life at an ACTJ camp”.
3. Contact with the ACTJ team and head office.
At any time, in the event of an emergency it is possible to contact an ACTJ manager in the centre concerned or at the Paris head office where a telephone hotline is available 7 days a week. Telephone numbers are informed to parents at the beginning of the camp.
4. Quality of centres.
In addition to the safety of facilities and their surrounding environment, the quality of food and sanitary services in centres is inspected by State services and must respect standards in force. We additionally undertake inspection visits with the aim of verifying the quality of accommodation.
5. Supervision.
The majority of supervising staff are teachers, professionals or students in event management and sport. They all undertake a theoretical and practical training programme (Professional event management, federal training programmes). These training programmes are complemented by the ACTJ internal training, which prepares the staff for the ACTJ Educational Project. A major facet of the task of supervising staff is in monitoring both sporting activities and daily life in the camps. They all hold dual skills, in sports and event management. The ACTJ ensures that each new member of supervising staff submits a clean CRB disclosure and does not appear on the national list of “prohibited monitors”.
6. Transportation is selected for safety and speed.
As a priority, high speed TGV trains are used for transportation. Transfer by coach from the destination station to the centre is undertaken by a known and regulated coach operator. During stays where regular travel is required (tournament circuits, centres with external service providers), transportation shall be undertaken by a member of the event management team of at least 21 years of age and holding a (valid) driving licence for at least 2 years.
7. Health and hygiene.
The team member responsible for health must hold a valid First Aid Certificate or the Health Protection Diploma. This member of staff shall systematically check all health forms and medical follow-up where appropriate. If the health condition of any youngster requires medical attention, the family shall be immediately informed. In light of the physical exercise undertaken, youngsters are encouraged by staff to eat a sufficient and well-balanced diet, and where possible to try the whole range of foods. However, youngsters are not forced to eat particular foods if they do not wish.
8. Remaining attentive to children and teenagers is an educational choice.
Listening to children and respecting their reflections (whether individually or as part of the group) is an essential element for teams and forms an integral part of the educational project. Of course, listening does not mean accepting every wish outlined by children and teenagers. Organisation of time and space in our camps, and respect by youngsters, additionally constitutes a primary concern of our teams. Our teams shall under no circumstances collectively punish a group of youngsters, nor refuse to undertake any core activity (unless a youngster fails to respect the safety regulations for said activity), and under no circumstances shall any humiliating or physical punishment be undertaken. Any punishment for failure to respect rules shall be in proportion to the cause, and shall primarily consist of remedying the prejudice caused. The team favours group dynamics by implementing activities corresponding to the age and motivations of children and teenagers.
9. Contractual brochure and quick complaint handling.
Brochures and documents which display the camps are contractual and clearly outline the offer proposed. Any written complaint shall be subject to acknowledgement of receipt within 5 working days following receipt thereof and will receive a response within 30 days.
10. The UNOSEL guarantee.
All members of the Unosel are subject to regular inspections to verify the proper application of commitments falling within the scope of this charter.
The UNOSEL is the professional association for linguistic, educational and sports camps for young people and adults, language schools, vocational training, and educational school trips. All members, including the ACTJ, respect the UNOSEL quality charter which relies on the European standard for educational and linguistic camps. Members are subject to regular inspections to verify the quality of camps in France and abroad.

Selecting a professional member of the APS gives you the assurance that all precautions are taken to guarantee all amounts paid for your camp.
This guarantee is underwritten by the ACTJ which is a professional member of the APS. It costs you nothing, but gives you the added assurance that your stay will go smoothly from start to finish. In the event of any financial default, the APS Solidarity Guarantee stands security for the professional member so as you can complete your stay or journey as desired. If such a security is not possible, you shall be fully reimbursed for all amounts paid. The APS Solidarity Guarantee complies with the Law of 13 July 1992 which outlines the conditions pertaining to activities led in organising and selling holidays and visits.
